Taken over the course of a year of walks around Los Angeles, RIP is a document of what happens to the ubiquitous wheatpaste posters put up by outdoor advertising agencies after the marketing campaign ends and the world has moved on. The constant addition of new posters, cracking and peeling from the elements, as well as interference from passerby all combine to conceal and reveal, creating new compositions and new layers of meaning. 

RIP is the second book of photographs from Los Angeles based creative director and photographer Jason Powell, and was photographed, designed and printed in Los Angeles. This first edition is limited to one hundred hand numbered and signed copies, each poly bagged with one of ten postcards featuring images not in the book.
